Epiphytic herbs. Roots basal. Pseudobulb ovoid to conical, angular in cross-section, few-noded, three- to six-leaved. Leaves oblanceolate, acute to acuminate, obscurely pleated, articulated at apex of pseudobulb. Infl orescence lateral, racemose, unbranched; bracts persistent. Flowers with pale yellow sepals marked with bold brown or maroon spots; petals white with yellow or reddish tips; labellum white marked with yellow and purple. Dorsal sepal free, elliptic, erect, tip recurved; lateral sepals spreading, oblique at base, otherwise similar to dorsal sepal with undulate margins. Petals free, porrect, oblong, shorter and broader than sepals. Labellum free to base of column, entire or obscurely trilobed, unspurred, callose; lateral lobes obscure, midlobe fl at; callus ridged. Column with a foot; anther cap conical, pollinia two, subglobose; stipe solitary, triangular to oblong; viscidium semi-lunate. Ovary cylindrical, grooved. (PC).
